One of the big things I am trying to do right now is re-invent my website. If you have any feedback on the new design at www.SmallBusinessCopywriter.com - it would be very much appreciated!
There are probably some glitches and things missing - but it is better than it was.
Which brings me to one important lesson I have learned over the years...
GOOD ENOUGH IS GOOD ENOUGH.
I see so many people wasting their lives away trying to be perfect in everything they do. Yet, perfection is really unattainable - someone will ALWAYS find a problem with what you are doing. There are people out there who take great pride in cutting anyone down who puts themselves out there.
So if you can't be perfect - why do people try to achieve perfection with their marketing and advertising?
I can launch a new product, service or seminar in a fraction of the time many take.
Their odds of success are no greater. Why? Because marketing is ALL about testing. Trying new things. Seeing what works. And if you aren't trying new things, you are missing out on what could be the breakthrough million dollar idea or campaign.
So, for the upcoming shopping season... try doing your promotions on a massive scale - rather than trying to be perfect.
Try getting 8 times as many things out there as you usually do.
See which ones click - and which don't.
It can usually bring you some very powerful (and profitable) breakthroughs.
Sometimes it leads to crazy ideas like old Count White here...
