Product launches - the right way

Building momentum in your new launches...

If you follow the internet marketing crowd at all – you’ve probably heard of The Product Launch Formula and The Butterfly Marketing system… both powerful and profitable tools for your tool kit.

You can also watch how new product and service launches happen – and possibly catch all that is happening during the launch so you can model it yourself.

The key to the launch is three-fold:

1) Building anticipation for something big coming up

2) Building a strong(er) relationship with your clients and prospects

3) Launching something worthy of all the buildup!

A very simple summary of the process – but it is the formula that works.

I am going through one right now for the Wild West Wealth summit in July. It is an event I have wanted to do for years now, and I finally took the plunge to “just do it”.

The Wild West Wealth Summit will be an annual event that takes place the 2 days before the Calgary Stampede starts. If you are not familiar with the Calgary Stampede, here are the important facts you need to know and why the summit is taking place at this time:

- Calgary is home to 1 million people and has a world class international airport

- $300 Million dollars is generated by the Calgary Stampede in the 10 day event

- The Stamped has been running for 95 years – every single year successful

- The Calgary Stampede hosts the worlds largest outdoor rodeo, with $1.6 Million dollars in cash prizes awarded to the top rodeo talents

- Calgary real estate gained an average of 40% in 2006.

- Calgary was host of the 1988 Winter Olympics and arguably the best opening ceremony ever

- Part of the reason this is taking place right before Stampede is that it is an excellent chance for attendees to also bring their families. They can stay after the summit to enjoy the rodeo, the carnival grounds, the hundreds of free pancake breakfasts that take place throughout the 10 day event, and every possible kind of party or celebration for both kids and adults alike

A transformation unlike anything you will have ever seen takes place between 5:00 pm Thursday the 5th and 7:00 am Friday the 6th. the vibrant downtown Calgary community transforms from a corporate suite-and-tie way of life to a 10 day extravaganza where you would be hard pressed to find a single suit or tie – from the CEOs of multi-billion dollar empires – right through to the mail room clerks that move the mail. Everyone dresses western for the 10 day event (warning: visitors are repeatedly abused if they do wear a tie… history even has shown that most ties get cut off with scissors the minute they are seen during Stampede)

 

I personally feel the Calgary Stampede has some of the best marketing techniques in place anywhere (being a born-and-raised Calgarian, minus a one year stint in Dallas, Texas, I am qualified to speak on the Calgary business community). I have written articles about the Stampede showcasing some of their unique marketing ideas.
 

From there, I had to make sure I put together an event unlike any other. 

  • The best speakers I could find
  • Reasonably priced
  • Content that is wanted by entrepreneurs from around the world
  • An experience – not a seminar
  • Highly memorable so they wouldn’t think twice about coming back the next year 

I will showcase how this launch goes – and I do hope you consider attending. 

For now, I will say this about a few of the speakers: 

- One speaker built a $5 million dollar internet business in 2 years – landing herself on the front page of many of the top magazines – and is an genius when it comes to getting the media to love you

- Another speaker (he is my mentor and teacher) has sold over $4.9 BILLION dollars worth of goods and services in his career – and is still going strong. He is the grand daddy of the direct response industry – and he is flying from Switzerland just to teach at the Wild West Wealth Summit.

- One other is a master at building referral systems into your business.  As you may well know, word of mouth and referrals can be the most profitable (and easiest) sales you make. This gentlemen is a world-class expert (and best selling author) on implementing systems that literally force people to refer people to you.

You can hopefully see why I am so excited about this. It is NOT just an internet marketing seminar. Nor is it just an offline marketing workshop. Nor is it only about the mindset of making millions.
