I just returned from a 2 week hiatus. One week with my family in Phoenix at the in-laws (a week was enough :o). Swimming every day with my twin daughters, Katrina and Hailey, was a blast. A daily dose of being silly and a kid again did wonders for me... and my kids as well.
Then, I left them in Phoenix and went to Chicago for the Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer Superconference (www.dankennedyrocks.com - for free tips and marketing information).
525 other successful entrepreneurs swarmed Chicago to learn new marketing techniques, and network with others who excel in making their company stand out from the crowd.
From Jim McCan of 1-800-Flowers to Jim Rohn to Sidney Burrows (the Mayflower Madame)... it was a packed 4 day event that ran from 8am till typically midnight - even 2:30 in the morning.
Tons of breakthrough ideas here. One BIG "ah-ha" moment I had will soon be revealed to you here.
Some of the things I noticed at the Superconference that makes this type of event very different than most others you will find.
1) A very large percentage of the attendees are millionaires and multi-millionaires. They ALL paid to be there. So no matter how successful you are now... there is always new things you can learn... if you attend the right events.
2) Varying levels of commitment in the room. Dan and Bill have a Inner Circle club that you can invest in. Gold - to Gold Plus - to VIP - to Mastermind groups. Each one has higher and higher financial investments - and each one gives back in return varying levels of commitment and products from them
Note: a VERY large number of attendees were at the mid to upper levels of their inner circle. Everyone starts at Gold then moves up to Gold Plus then up and up and up. Each level you commit to typically adds 50% to your business revenues (at a minimum).
A question to ask yourself: if you got 50% boosts to your business revenues and profits from every level you upgrade to and commit to learning from - how quickly would YOU upgrade?
3) The people there are implementers. Compared to most internet marketing seminars I have attended where people learn lots but never seem to implement this was a group of DOERS. And, not surprisingly, the networth of the crowd was probably 1,000 times greater than many internet marketing crowds.
4) They taught BOTH on and offline marketing techniques. The focus on offline but an entire day committed to online. The key to success for any business is to use ALL available mediums that return a profit - or at least can be used to build a targeted database. Never do just one or the other - very dangerous.
5) Human psychology in action. As you upgrade in levels you get private lunches and get togethers. If you are not part of the upper level memberships... you would typically feel left out and wanting to see what you are missing out on - which is why so many people upgrade to the next level at their events.
6) People in attendance INVEST in their continued education. Lots of complimentary products and services were available to buy. Many people bought them ALL - which would equate to an investment of well in excess of $100,000. Funny how those same people come back and invest again the next year - and they get exponential returns from their investments as well.
7) Crazy marketing ideas that work. The best of the best marketing competition was packed with incredibly creative marketing techniques and tools. If you don't pick up at least 50 breakthrough ideas to implement at this event you really should go rethink if you should be in business at all.
I took 79 pages of notes and have already gotten my money back with new clients booked.
My $3,500 investment will be returned probably 50 to 100 times over this year... so YES it was worth it and YES I would highly recommend you attend more marketing events like this.
At a minimum - sign up for the free newsletter at www.dankennedyrocks.com - the education you get there is worth it's weight in gold.

Thanks for the report - your testimonial put me over the top, and I'm definitely going to a BG/DK event at my next opportunity!

The problem with entrepreneurs is that they learn a lot, but they don't implement.
