A marketing and advertising plan!
Nothing complex. Nothing difficult.
Just a plan.
Marketing does not have to be hard... or expensive... you
just have to put some serious thought into how to make the
most of the time you have.
12 months ahead - 52 weeks.
If you were to do one additional promotion every month in
the next 12 months - I'd be willing to bet you could add AT
LEAST 25% to your business bottom line.
I personally did 110% more this year than last - and all I
did was promote myself (and my products) much more than last
year.
Here is a plan for your advertising and marketing efforts in
2006:
1) Get a monthly calendar out
2) Go to http://www.journeymart.com/tools/holidays.htm
Enter your country and find some common holidays. I live in
Canada and found the following.
CANADA
Date 2006 Occasion
January 1 New Year's Day
April 14 Good Friday
April 16 Easter
April 17 Easter Monday
May 22 Victoria Day
July 1 Canada Day
September 4 Labour Day
October 9 Thanksgiving Day
November 11 Remembrance Day
December 25 Christmas Day
December 26 Boxing Day
11 holidays right there to use as promotions.
or..
Less traditional - http://www.education-world.com/holidays/
3) Find at least 12 holidays - put them on your calendar -
then back date 2 weeks before the promotion date to start
your brainstorming. (so you will have 2 dates on each month
for 2006 - the actual date of the holiday - and 2 weeks
prior for your planning and writing date)
4) Come up with some unique angles to tie in your products
and services into the holiday - and start writing a
promotional piece for it.
5) Make sure you stick to the plan for 2006!
6) Collect at least 25% more profits at the end of 2006
This does not have to be complex. I can help if you need
help finding applicable promotional ideas for your calendar
- just contact me through the info at the right (under that
ugly mug shot of me).
Please do this in the next few days - get it all put down on
paper - stick to the plan - and reap the rewards. It is as
simple as it can be.
Happy new year!
