What a week and a half it's been. Dallas last week for the
Dan Kennedy Information Marketing Summit, back to Calgary on
the weekend and 2 workshops I put on this week (Internet
Marketing 101 and the Sales Letter Success Workshop).
Time to breath again!
One of the big ah-hah moments I had at Dan's event was on
how powerful (and profitable) momentum is.
It was the key to the success of Nigel Botterill who won the
2005 Information Marketers Award (he went from 0 to $1.2
mi1lion his first year in the business and from $1.2 to over
$10 mil1ion in his second year).
Creating a whirlwind of activity and momentum is the best
thing you could ever do in your marketing. Implement
multiple marketing campaigns - online AND off - never rely
on just online or just offline.
Run a print ad for lead generation, a postcard campaign for
driving people to sales page online, a direct mail print
campaign to educate people on some of your products and
services, a fax campaign to your existing clients with a
special offer to upgrade to your newest package - and a pay
per click campaign to get traffic to your sites.
This sounds like a lot to manage but it really isn't. All
it takes is some dedicated time from you every day to focus
in on your marketing. An hour or two a day to start - then
add to it as you gain momentum and when cash flow increases.
It's not like I've been sitting back slacking for the last 4
years in my business - but I realized (based on Nigels
incredible success) that I have to step it up 5 or 10
notches.
Do you?
Think about 10 things you could do this coming week to
market and grow your business - then do them! Get help if
you need - just get all 10 done over the next 7 days. Then
the next week - make it 15 things - the following week 20.
Remember, the great thing about knowing how to write
powerful ads and sales letters is that you can reuse the
same information in multiple formats (postcards, letters,
emails, websites, etc.)
This creates momentum in itself.
When you write one powerful letter - you can shorten it for
an ad and an email. You can accomplish multiple things all
at once and it drastically cuts down the time you need to
invest in your whirlwind marketing efforts.
The key is to do it though - useless if you don't and you
are the only one who gets hurt by procrastination.
As Nike says - just do it!
Create a whirlwind of activity - and see what happens. I
promise you it will be good.

The ideal way to achieve the goals is to create multiple sales campaigns, which compliment each other.

Hello. Like anyone else, there are days I feel beautiful and days I don't, and when I don't, I do something about it.
I am from Botswana and learning to read in English, tell me right I wrote the following sentence: "However, I am not a certified financial planner or financial professional of any sort, so content on this personal finance blog should be treated as entertainment only."
With love 8), Jacqueline.
