I just returned from Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer's
Information Marketing Summit... and I can honestly say -
Dan Kennedy has gone insane!
If you don't know Dan Kennedy - you should (www.dankennedy.com).
He is one of the greatest marketing minds out there and has
helped many business owners earn their fortunes.
Front and center on stage, and even on our tables, was proof
of the insanity.
How could a man who has helped hundreds of people earn
millions of dollars with their businesses... and helped
thousands upon thousands earn 2, 3 even 10 times what they
used to...
...how could it come to this?
4 months back was the first sign of his insanity when I
received a full color magazine with Dan Kennedy, Bill Glazer
and Yanik Silver 'dressed' as women on the cover.
It was awful to say the least.
Even in the cover verbiage he addressed the insanity issue.
What became glaringly clear at this event though was that
the insanity they shared was something you *should* want a
piece of.
Yes, I say we all need a piece of this type of 'insanity' in
our businesses.
One of the most important breakthroughs I had (and there
were many for myself and the 400 other people in the room)
had to do with creating a massive action plan... and how to
do it properly.
It was the key to the success of Nigel Botterill who
won the 2005 Information Marketers Award (he went
from 0 to $1.2 million his first year in the
business and from $1.2 to over $10 mil1ion in his
second year).
He took massive action on everything he learned from Dan and
Bill.
There was strong proof that Dan's advice had created many
multi-millionaires - all you had to do was look around the
room to see the people, their successes and see how they
devoured every word of what the speakers shared.
*** I took 72 pages of notes and we invested 31 hours in
our education there - it was awesome.
Most people would think some of the lessons taught there
were absolutely crazy and would never work... but they
did... and that was another key point I learned there.
The things that 99% of business owners would think wouldn't
work - did work - and made the marketers sharing their
advice very wealthy.
*** A few of the big lessons I learned ***
1) Take massive action on everything you learn (and make
sure you learn lots - there was a saying on the wall that
went "Rich People Have Big Libraries... Poor People Have Big
TV's".) Invest in your education... but don't let it sit on
your shelf - put at least one hour a day into taking action
based on what you learned that day.
2) Be 'insane" in your business about trying new,
untraditional, things to get your clients to become closer
to you. Be different... do the opposite of what your
competitors are doing... do something every single day to
grow your business... work on building closer relationships
with your prospects and clients - share something personal
with them.
Rory Fatt shared his 80+ step campaign he did to sell out
a bootcamp and put a very healthy 7 figure profit in his
pocket. Do you think most seminar promoters would do 80
steps to fill a room? Most don't do more than 3 or 4
steps - now we know why most seminars are so poorly
attended.
3) My own personal mistake - when you are taking a taxi to
your hotel (I had to stay at a different hotel in Dallas as
the Marriott was completely full) - make sure they drop you
off at the right hotel! Even when the signs look right and
the front on the hotel looks right - double check! I didn't
and ended up at the wrong place - whoops - I should know
better - I lived in Dallas for some time and should have
been watching closer!
With 72 pages of notes, I will have much more to share...
but for now (and for this week) that will be enough.
Take one thing you have learned lately about marketing or
business - and put it into action!
One person I work with fought me on using long copy sales
letters - she finally agreed to try this crazy idea - and lo
and behold she sold a whole bunch of seats to her upcoming
teleseminar!
Go figure...
With everything I learned at Dan and Bill's summit - I have
decided to hold an Insanity Sale on almost everything I have
ever created to do with business and marketing... for a
crazy 54.9% discount.
Go here for all the details - and for more lessons from Bill
and Dan.

My little way of saying thanks to you as a valued reader.
To your success,

PS - You have to have a look at the incredible value you get
here - http://www.smallbusinesscopywriter.com/insanity.htm -
note the one bonus teleseminar - that in itself is worth
~$2,500 (that's what it cost me!)

I just wrote a post on one of his books. Guy definitely knows his stuff!

Troy;
I was just speaking to a prospective client about not putting plans into action. I know in the past I would read 20 books on one topic, but had failed to put ONE plan into action. I know better now. It takes perseverance and a deliberate effort to implement something new. Thanks for driving that point home.

Dan Kennedy's "Insane" insights really launched me to new and greater heights.
Via-One of his other students Dave Dee. I was a part time magician trying what "everyone" else was saying would work and guess what...? It did not!!!
Dave Dee shared information which actually made me VERY uncomfortable at first (for several months). As time went on and the "Insane" insights became more leads, more sales and more cash in my pockets, I realized I had a treasure chest full of priceless gems I now wanted to hide.
Is Dan Kennedy Insane? Depends on the person defining the word.
